Well, Its Christmas Shopping Season
No surprise that I’m getting most of my stuff from the internet. Its really hard not to when Amazon and all other PayPal based sites make ordering something literally a click away. How they make it so easy… Anyhow, I’ve got a bunch of Amazon gift cards, and I had, of course redeemed them upon my account. Why? Well, there is that 1 in a billion chance someone will randomly generate my exact number before I redeem it… so better not risk it.
Amazon’s Black Friday Sale
I recently got some stuff during Amazon’s Black Friday Sale. This also pretty much coensides with Cyber Monday. Well, it took the normal amount of time to arrive, but some stuff was very wrong. I decided to complain to the support, because of Amazon’s A to Z policy.
Amazon’s A to Z policy
Amazon claims that they will basically help you out no matter what happens to your product. Oh really (0_orly?). Well, let’s see what happens. I wrote them this letter of complaint. (Well, I got two things, one for my mom, and one for the girlfriend.)
My Letter of Complaint to Amazon.com
Ok, this is crazy. I ordered these things both for my girl friend. The package arrived on time, and I placed in in my closet. (I was going out of town for the weekend, and I got back yesterday). My friend’s birthday was on the 3rd, but we’re celebrating this weekend so I figured I just give her one of the necklaces on this weekend in stead of the birthday. Well, I opened up the package today. I opened the Polished Oval Mother and Child necklace and the first thing I noticed was how ugly the back was. Anyhow, the poor quality of the product isn’t the main issue at hand. When I took it out of the bag (part of the cheap chain seemed to be caught in the bag) I noticed it seemed as if someone had literally shoved this necklace into the bag with very little care at all. In fact, as I looked closer, the chain was twisted all around the necklace and in some knots. As I started to try and untangle the necklace I found that I couldn’t do it. I have literally spent the past hour and a half trying to get a knot out of the chain. This is so disgusting I can’t believe it. I understand when I ordered, it was during your Black Friday rush and the Cyber Monday sales, but that is no excuse for the terrible quality of your product. I’ve ordered a necklace in the past from you, and I was very happy with the quality. This however, was appalling. Then, low and behold, the Teardrop Necklace wasn’t even in the bag! I thought at first, that like the other necklace, it must have been poorly packaged and stuck in the back of the bag. No. It simply wasn’t even in there. I am not sure if the packager of my package simply didn’t care at all what he was doing. Maybe Amazon had to hire (outsource) extra help for the Holiday sales, and that is the reason of the poor quality. Anyhow, something went terribly wrong during your Sales Rush of the After Thanksgiving Sales events.
Should I Buy from Amazon.com?
Well, I’ve had decent service in the past. This certainly brings that record down, and I’m still waiting to hear from the Support. Let’s hope Amazon lives up to their internet reputation, and helps me out.
