The program was Jan Chervenak and Micki Kaye, from Smoky Mountain Pregnancy Care Center (SMPCC) board of directors presented an overview of SMPCC services provided to Jackson and surrounding counties at a Rotary weekly luncheon meeting. SMPCC is a Christian organization with medical director oversight and RN on site to validate pregnancy and perform ultrasound. SMPCC provides those with unplanned pregnancies medically correct facts, nonjudgmental counseling, and empowerment to make life-affirming choices. The Earn-While-You-Learn program offers practical baby, childcare, and home making education; points earned may be redeemed for baby care and clothing items, shoes, toys and items for moms.
